McDonald Companies is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing company. As we continue to expand, we find the need to add to our support team that service our business units. This role will start at a base salary of $60,000 and be eligible for our quarterly profit-sharing program.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with general accounting tasks

• Review departmental performance and ensures compliance with fiscal governmental reporting requirements, including tax reports and filings 

• Producing regular financial reports, such as budgets and forecasts 

• Assist in month-end processing 

• Assist in the fixed asset accounting 

• Support annual audits and year-end reporting 

• Provides analysis of financial projects, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations as directed by the Controller, and assists in developing financial policies and procedures for implementation 

• Work with accounting team and division leads to manage company assets 

• Contribute to strategic planning and division specific processes 

• All other duties as assigned 

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 1 years of experience or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience 

• Large ERP experience 

• Thorough understanding of GAAP 

• Knowledge of finance, accounting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. 

• Strong computer skills in MS Office software (Outlook, Excel and Word).

• Excellent problem solver who sees opportunities instead of obstacles.

JOB SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant is responsible for all financial records, processes and transactions within the Companies. The perfect candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of month-end processing, experience in monthly/yearly reconciliations, ability to provide general accounting support, and ability to drive business results through analytics.

McDonald Companies is headquartered in Green Bay, WI. We provide commercial real estate development, property management, and leasing to a wide range of customers. In addition, McDonald Companies has two subsidiary divisions. The first being WSW Logistics which provides supply chain services within 5 states and operations out of both Arkansas and Wisconsin. Lastly, is South Bay Marina. A full-service Marina located at the neck of the bay which supports the needs of seasonal slip-holders, marine equipment service center, and a retail space for all boating needs.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: 

The Staff Accountant must interact daily with leadership and internal/external customers. To be the right fit for this role, you will need to be approachable and always present a professional and positive attitude when dealing with all members of the company and their respective customers.
